I suppose if I am going to be shipping and moving fish to new homes, in the reasonably near future, I'm going to have to acquire some shipping supplies.
Does anyone know of an online or real store, preferably Canadian, that sells fish bags, heat packs etc ?

Some fish clubs sell fish bags, so you could check with the CAS (http://www.calgaryaquariumsociety.com/). Heatpacks you can get from Northernsnails.com (Saskatchewan). Apparently the shorter heatpacks are available in many stores in Alberta, or so my friend tells me. You could try Canadian Tire in the Winter sports section - that's where I found some in New Brunswick.

Good link! Thier bags are huge, but they've got some good stuff there. Just what I needed, another place to spend money...lol.

you can pick up reasonable size styro containers from almost any drug store or pharmacy as they recieve meds in them alot that need to be temp controled and they really have no use for them once they arrive at their destination.

Good point! Clinics, Vet's and Universities usually have them too. Nobody wants to throw them out but they take up a lot of storage space.
I give my huge styro fish boxes away, but they usually cost me anywhere from $5-$10+ when I order the fish. I always thought that shiipping supplies would be absorbed by a company who ships like it would be in any other industry, but for some reason the tradition has continued. What gets me is when they charge more for boxes/heatpacks than their cost. Profiting from them is a bit much. Shipping is expensive enough as it is, but that's another rant.
I finally gave up on finding small enough bags in Canada so I'm ordering from the States.:(

Some new bookmarks for sure  , thanks.
AngelsPlus.com has bags as well. Jehmco.com has both bags and heatpacks and I just realized that they ship here. I'm putting an order in so I'll be sure to let you know how the shipping is from the US. I'm still price-comparing amongst the suppliers that have what I want, and now I have more to review. :D
