Algea?

Algae?


Currently i got a buncha brown spots my substrate.. It looks like little burnt spots, and being newer to Marine tanks, im not too sure if its algae or not. I mixed up the top layer of substrate, and it came back, so i think its algae, but not positive.

Any ideas?

It's actual diatoms, not algae. Very common with new marine tanks and should go away on it's own when the tank fully cycles.

What clean up crew are you planning on getting?

Also, what are the tank specs?

No idea yet, its a 32 gal salt water obviously.. lol..Just got fake plants in it, so i dont gotta worry about anything eating them. Any suggestions on what i should get?
