Clownfish & Anemones in Australia have struggled since the launch of Finding Nemo, in part due to climate change but also due to hobby collection. Hobbyists have decided that contributing to this problem is unacceptable to them.
"What the collectors have done is put their hand up to voluntarily put a moratorium on the collection of those clownfish, and the anemones they inhabit in that region, in the hope that they will recover naturally," said Mr Squire. ~ Telegraph UK (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/main.jhtml?xml=/earth/2007/12/20/eanemo120.xml)
Kudos to the Australian hobbyists involved! They're a fine example for hobbyists around the World.
