I have a lot of plants that are Very easy to grow. Now do I need fertilzer..if so what do you recommend? I have fish with the plants and need some safe.
Also some say to put aquarium salt in...can I do that with the plants?

Fetilizing a tank really depends on a couple of factors. Are you adding co2 and what is your current lighting are the two main questions to answer first.
As for salt, some species of plant can tolerate it and some definately don't like it. I have heard a lot of people say to put salt in a tank as a general aid to fish. Unless you are talking about brackish water species (and I am refering to true brackish species that can't live without salt in their water) then you are fine without it. Some species do a tad bit better with the salt but you have to balance the needs of all your aquarium inhabitants.
