Our club is discussing having a swap meeting for our February meeting. It will be the first Monday in February. If anyone is interested I will post more details as I get them.

That's a great idea Pam, please let us know how it goes. It would be a great thing for other clubs to try.

Aaahhh Spring is in the air already... have to start saving for Spring auctions while paying Christmas bills - I'm in this hobby for the challenge in more ways than one.
So they scrapped the swap in favour of an auction Pam? Or am I mixing up two separate things?

No your not mixing them up. They originally talked about having a swap meet, but I guess at the last exec. meeting they decided just to do an auction. Now originally they were talking about inviting the public, but not sure if they still intend too!

I think they need YOU on the Executive Committee! Granted, I suppose the logistics behind such an endeavor could get complicated. Although if they kept it simple and just let the individuals do the dealing, it should end up being easier than an auction.
Spoken like someone who has never actually done it of course  .

I actually go to the exec meetings, but missed the last one. Did not hear them mention it. They love have members come to give the committee new ideas. I would have loved the swap meet, you get to see what people have. Maybe we can do one later on.

Right. I have lots of practice pushing them, but you will have to hold everything we buy.
