Damn it! I forgot them on the counter over night! In the trash the go.

Yup, that's unfortunate.

I understand your annoyance. I think we're probably all done something like that at one time or another. I did it with an almost full jar of Instant Baby Brine Shrimp not too long ago (it requires refridgeration once opened).

I'm infamous for bringing a bag of supplies home from a petstore and throwing it in the corner. I've remembered frozen food hours later on more than one occasion. :Embarassing:

sigh...join the club. I've just left a fairly new pack of frozen blood worms out overnight too - those hurt the most. On average I leave a pack out every 7.3 months...give or take a couple of weeks. :GEEK: Serves me right for multi-tasking. I get so much joy out of finishing a complete package of frozen food. That reminds me, gotta go check my counter again.

I keep frozen fishy foods in a little bar fridge/freezer which defrosted itself so well it thawed the food. . . grrr. . .

Because I have a habit of walking in the door and getting involved in 90 thousand projects I now take a frozen cooler pack in a cooler bag with me when I'm planning on going to the lfs. I keep it on the drivers seat and sometimes I still forget it but the frozen pack inside it keeps everything cold until I remember and then going running out to the car lol. Sad yet true.

I stumbled across this while looking for something else.
Use of Frozen Fish Food That Has Thawed:
You may safely refreeze some foods that still contain ice crystals and are cold to the touch or if they have been kept below 45 degrees F for no more than 2 hours. If the temperature is above 45 degrees F, THROW IT OUT.
Treat completely thawed foods as follows:
These foods are perishable. DO NOT refreeze thawed fish food. Spoilage may begin before bad odors develop and may be toxic. Refreeze fish food only if ice crystals remain throughout the package. If you question the condition, THROW IT OUT.
DO NOT use if odor is offensive or if the freezer temperature has exceeded 45 degrees F for 2 hours or longer, THROW IT OUT.
Use common sense: If any foods have an offensive or questionable odor, DO NOT feed them to your fish, THROW IT OUT.

:offtopic: How long can I keep it in the fridge?

I wouldn't go more than a couple of days I guess. Seafood will spoil most quickly I should think.
