Hi I was getting ready for work and I looked at my naso tang he has white spots on his fins can anyone help me with this.

it sounds more like a parasite cuz its only on the fins on the side of it.

Ich is a parasite and it can be only on the fins or all over. :wideeyed:

Tangs are notorious for getting Ick. Ive had a couple come down with it myself. Medications depend on what else is in the tank. I myself wont use meds in my reef tank. I just kept them fed really well with mysis soaked in garlic amd ran my UV for a week. Works for me.

yes I did the same I turned the temp up a little and turned the UV and sooked the food too but he didnt eat any but I saw him taking algea from the tank on the rocks and the wall and hes looking good the parasites are almost gone but he is getting very thin though what should I do will he be fine just keep feeding him?

Wait another couple days, and see if he starts eating again.. Or maybe try to feed him something else.

he stated eating some but not much he also takes the red algea he loves that same with my christmas island Emperor Angel but hes still pretty thin lets hope he gets better.

Thats good that he ate a bit :) Aslo try feeding him some dried seaweed sheets. u know, the stuff that they make sushi outta. Put a bit in the tank, and see if he eats it.
