Yesterday, I lost my cell phone in the snow near the Gateway Skytrain station. I had slipped and fell on my butt in the ice and snow and had no idea the phone had fallen out of my pocket... until several hours later. I went back (after dark) and tried to find it but to no avail. I tried calling it several times but no one would hear it anyway because it was in vibrate mode...lol. I figured that was it... they way things are these days, someone would find and keep it.

Lo and behold, mid-morning today, someone called me from my cell phone. They had just found it in the snow and were eager to get it back to me. Such nice honest folks! As they were right at the building at Gateway where our office is, they dropped it off at the office for me. I headed out there and picked it up later.

I would have liked to do something nice for them in return but don't even have a name. So all they got was a verbal 'Thank You'. The odds of them being a member here or knowing a member are slim but I thought I'd post anyways... even if it's just to let everybody know that there are still good people out there who are willing to take time to return a lost item. :Applaud:

Always a nice surprise to hear about people doing good deeds.

Well that's good to know, we can't afford to loose our most important member to such accidents, from now on it might be best to wear protective gear

I'm considering it myself after getting clubbed in the back with a cane at work yesterday. :wideeyed: I hear hockey gear is fairly cheap at Walmart, I might just invest lol.

:nah: I'm not important... no more so than the rest of the gang here... all our members are VIPs!

OUCH! Are you OK? I encounter the good people and you end up on the receiving end of those who take out their frustrations on you.:(

Heheh, I'm ok. Luckily the 90yr old lady who was swinging never played baseball professionally or she may have actually knocked me out lol. She was having a bad day and I happened to be in the way when she decided she was going to show just how rough her day had been. It startled me more than anything. I'm more glad it had been my back over another resident who may have actually been hurt.

It's all good though, I love my job, even if i do think that we should wear armour under those uniforms at times:laugh:
