Well I picked up some of these little guys, figured they will probably turn into crayfish snacks at some point but they are neat little things. I have some deep substrate so I think they'll be good for sturing it up and such.

They have very hard shells, which are too hard for a lot of fish to crack but I somehow don't think that will be a problem for your crayfish <looking at those claws of his :wideeyed: >. They do live in the substrate and are great at keeping it stirred up. This ought to help them avoid the cray, I would think. They do multiply quite quickly so even if the cray dines on them, you're likely to be able to maintain enough for both purposes (aerate the substrate and crayfish snackfood.)

They are good substrate cleaners. Nothing sits on the bottom very long with them in the tank.

Well I am kinda hopping since I added 4 of them they'll reproduce nice and fast and the cray will help out by eating some of them and giving him some prey easier than fish to keep him distracted. I don't think he's gone after any of the ghost shrimp I put in there... but I can't find them either lol. They like to stay out of site apparently.
