I think that all commercials which advertise toys that aren't available in Canada should be BANNED from Canadian TV's  .

My Son has been a die-hard Star Wars fan since he was a toddler. He collects and still plays with light sabers (me too - its fun...lol). So he sees an ad last year for 'The Ultimate Lightsaber Kit', available only at Walmart, but could I find it here? Oh nooooooooo.... and the US Walmart won't ship here. Even if it would, or I could scoot across the border, they're sold out.

A year goes by and he still wants this thing. If y'all wouldn't mind, could you keep an eye out for it at the Walmart toy section near you? If you see it, let me know and I'll have his Father go get it.

Thanks so much!

I think a group buy is in order!
I'm a bit of a Starwars Geek myself. LOL

I have spent the better part of the day trying to find this toy. I saw it on Amazon.com, way cool, so I proceed to order that plus some awesome Star Wars piano books. Get through the whole thing, log in to do the check-out and I'm told they're not able to ship them here :POed: .

Target has them in stock. I could ask one of my US friends to take delivery and send it on to me, but you can't have it shipped to an address different than the one on your credit card. I think asking them to go out and pay for my Christmas shopping, then send it on to me, is asking a bit much of any friend...lol...although some would do it for me I'm sure. However, its a busy time of year and I don't want to put them on the spot.

This kid is going to be the death of me yet. He rarely asks for anything, I have to beg him to come up with 10 items on a Christmas list every year, and this year there's only five. So of course, I want to reward an undemanding kid like that by at least getting him whatever is on that list and I move mountains trying to get it.

One of the problems is that apparently its now out of production, so they're selling what they have and then its gone. There's some international shippers on eBay, but the one closing today is already close to twice what the toy sells for at Target.

There's only one answer - I'm moving. lol

Thanks Shelley, I was looking there before - totals up nasty....lol. I did, however, find one with a 'Buy It Now' option for a reasonable $30... reasonable until you tack on US shipping, but the chances of me finding it here are slim so I bit the bullet. I would have had to pay US shipping regardless, and the toy was $25 from the store, so that's not too bad. Since its an item that's quickly selling out and no longer in production, chances are I got off lucky.

I'm happy anyway - he's a great kid if I do say so myself, so I like to get him what little he wants.

If anyone wants to grab one for their kid or the boy inside the man;) , there's a few left from this seller (http://cgi.ebay.ca/STAR-WARS-ULTIMATE-LIGHTSABER-build-your-own-NEW_W0QQitemZ6042386736QQihZ009QQcategoryZ101610QQ cmdZViewItem) - highly rated.

Of course, I'll probably see them in a flyer next week for $15.99  .

Don't you have a PO box in the states? Would it not be cheaper to ship it there and then pick it up?

I have an address there, but I can't use a different address than the one on my credit card account - sets alarm bells off all over the place. So I had to find someone who would ship here, or someone who would take Paypal.

Plus I don't do the driving on my border runs and playing the 'My kid will be so sad if you don't pick this up for me' card seemed a bit low...lol. And lastly, I compensate the person who does the driving anyway, so it all comes out in the waterchange.
