Ok, since the College was closed today, went shopping. I bought this plant and was told the name. But the name I asked for, had it written down and the generic name the salesperson gave me was different. I googled the name she gave me,,,Greenwater Rose and even that is not what I bought.
The picture is not great, but can anyone say what it is?

It could be some type of Ludwigia. Just hope it wasn't "green or cherry hedge" because they are non-aquatic species

Thats what I was afraid of.
Here is a link to a list of NON-AQUATIC Plant species that stores sometimes sell.

Thanks Chrissy, I think you are correct. Found this site with picture.

The species I seem to have is Bettzickiana green. My tank temp is little high as is my ph.
Thanks for the link Chem, guess I will just leave it in tank for now. Will remember to not buy plants from local stores, since they don't seem to know what they have. Can't really blame them, they get what they get most times I guess. I just need to do more research and then order plants by name from somewhere.

Dont worry about it. I got duped about 6 months ago buying a non-aquatic fern. I remember at the time that I had a bad feeling; I should have trusted my instincts.
A good general rule of thumb is that if it is green and white/yellow or pink dont buy it. Also be careful or spikey looking plants.
BTW - I bought green hedge once before too! That is why I put together that list. It really gets under my skin when LFS pull nonsense like that. I want to add pics to that list so people will stand up to these stores and tell them to knock off this type of disception!

I got scammed before too. I spent about $20 on a bunch of non-aquatics at King Ed's. It really made me mad since I had re-scaped the tank, carefully planted them and then watched in confusion as they slowly died. I couldn't take them back because I live hundreds of kilometers away. I couldn't take pics for others to see either since I had no camera then. I won't forget!
