I am planing on moving my angels in to the 55gl with live plants and I am trying to find some plants that would grow tall and help create vertical territories and break up the line of sight in the tank. I was thinking 16" tall and not to wide and low light.
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas??

Hygrophilia poly. is easy to grow and does not need special lighting. I have it in my 32 gallon that has a plant bulb and just trimmed it back as it was getting too tall.

This is a copy of a post that I put up on another site. Hope it is of help.
I was digging around at plantedtank.com and found a thread which outlines the various plants/mosses that are considered to be acceptable for low light setups. The ones in RED I seriously question as to whether they should be considered low light,

Hey Mel,
Could we sticky chem's list. I would print it off but have so many fish papers now, can never find what I am looking for when I need it.

Thanks every one:yes: Chem great list. DaFishMan I only have 2 right now a marble and a mix, when I move them I wanted to get some more. I've read that a group of 6 or more and vertical territories will cut down on aggression so I wanted to try.

If anyone can think of other plants to put on that list I would appreciate your input as I am working with someone to create an interactive database of all aquatic and, unfortunately, non-aquatic flora.

I think that's an excellent idea and an equally excellent thread. I'll leave it to our plant mod though. Ladies & gentlemen, Mr. Grandpoohbah! :Applaud: :Applaud: :Applaud:

OR maybe we can compile a few threads - best shade, best tall, etc, and put them all into one 'best of the best' thread & sticky it?
Just a thought, I'll leave it to our plant dude. ::D:
