I want to know why I can't win because I love that mouse! I think you're just afraid that everyone will be jealous of my profound and educational tip as shared with the mod's earlier...

Don't eat yellow snow.

How is that NOT a winner? Hmmmm?

And frankly, that tank is too small for that fish.

CACAdmin
Feb 24th 2008, 09:40 PM
It's a good thing I now have the mouse here or I'd probably have to wrestle it from you when it comes time to award the prize. As for the 'eating yellow snow'...:Eeewww:... it wouldn't count anyways... it's not about fishkeeping.

BTW, I'm not going to allow you to give up your Admin duties so you can enter... so don't get any ideas.

Melody

 -I'm going to have to come up with a doozie.

These laptop trackpads should be re-named to "wrist wreckers".

CACAdmin
Feb 26th 2008, 10:17 AM
I don't know about wrist-wreckers but they drive me nuts too. Thank goodness laptops provide a connection for a mouse. It makes things so much faster and easier to get stuff done (for me anyways).

Maybe Katalyst, its the fact that the prize is the coveted Fish Da Mouse, rarest of all fish.

CACAdmin

Slipstream, granted we do not live in a perfect world but this is the real world. Making it anonymous would entail a great deal of work and still would not prevent people from privately asking someone to vote for their submission. They would simply only have to tell someone what their tip says and ask them to vote for it. Most people have the integrity to vote for the submission they think is the best.

Yes for Heaven's sake lets not start the sour grapes before its even over. We are voting on a tip

Agreed. Let's have fun with the contest and get some great tips in from which we can all benefit. Let's not spoil it for everyone.

Melody
Feb 27th 2008, 01:00 AM
Well, basically, im coning from it this way, if somebody doesnt like somebody, they ARENT going to vote for that person, or if somebody really likes one person, they will vote for that one just cause its their friend, now im not saying EVERYBODY does it, but i can almost guarantee that some people here DO do it. Its human nature.. Its not all that hard to see, and keeping it anonymous, well, makes it easy to prevent stuff like that.. plain and simple. Not everybody in the world is the same. And i know for a fact of some members that already used other forums to get people to come in and vote for them, just so they could get more votes. Not mentioning any names though.. But it HAS happened.. just thought u should think about it..

Oh enough already. I couldn't care less who votes for what reasons and if they want to bring 10 buddies to the forum that's just more fish friends to chat with. These contests are for fun and this foolishness takes away from that. Its not a 10 million dollar lottery for Heaven's sake. If you don't want to participate, don't participate and do it QUIETLY. Thank you.

Our kids have been sharing the community paper route for the past year and a half...they swear life is good! What they choose to spend their hard earned cash is their decision, but I can see they're more cautious about spending habits though. They have a pet lovebird that apparently is allergic to yeast, over $600 avian vet bills later, antibiotics, topical treatments etc...sapped them dry, but it's still all worth it they claim. Tough lesson, but they value the route more than ever now.

Mine lives for games. I have better things to spend $60 on. A guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do. He loves it - depositing his cheque & all that makes him feel like the young man he's becoming. He does the recycling and gets that money, waterchanges for me (doesn't fall under normal household chores so he gets paid for it) and he does the papers. That boy LOVES his money...lol...he bought an adult-rated game with his money awhile back. Mom found it. Ed at Mom's work now has a brandy new free game. Man did that hurt. He still talks about it. :twitcy: Mean Mama!

Now as for this contest, I expect to see many more profound tips in there. The brains around here blows me away so don't be shy!
