I have a couple of trios of Limia Tridens available. They are approximately 13 weeks old. The ancestors of these small Livebearers were collected in Las Salinas, Dominican Republic and they are only F4. The collection site of the ancestors of these beauties is slightly brackish. I have kept these fish both in a little bit of salt and in completely fresh water and I have not noticed a difference in their health or activity. While rarely seen in the Canadian trade, these fish are relatively easy to care for. They prefer harder water and are kept at a PH of about 7.6. The male of the species reaches approximately 3 cm, the females slightly larger at 4 cm. I have noticed that they are voracious fry hunters, especially mom, so if you are going to try your hand at breeding them I suggest immediatley separating fry as you spot them. Mom will hunt down fry over eating other foods offered. A lot of plant cover will aid in hiding fry, especially if it is dense if moving them is not an option.
They are currently being fed a diet of spirulina flakes, bottom bites (thanks Melody!), frozen bloodworms, live and frozen baby brine shrimp, and the occasional pea or piece of cucumber. When I originally received the parents from Melody they were extremely shy fish, hiding at the first hint of me walking near their tank. Now that they have more fish to school with(hence me selling trios) and are used to me, they are much more friendly.
The following is a picture of the parents, the male really shimmers in the light, especially when he is displaying for the female. He gets really yellow and his blue highlights are incredible. These fish are a definate must have for the livebearer afficiando in your family (yes that means you!)

Sorry for the quality of the photo, these fish are so active it is hard to get them to sit still. I don't like to use flash when I take pictures so getting a really clear picture is difficult to say the least. Pick up point is in Surrey. Shipping is only available if Melody is willing to hold my hand and help me as I haven't done it before .
[EDIT] I took a picture of the male with a flash  . Thought I would add it here:

You really can see that colouring if you look at them under good lighting. They sure are beeautiful, if I do say so myself :D [END EDIT]
$15 per trio OBO. PM if interested. I accept PayPal, bank transfers, cash and your first born children....
