I am telling you, she put another cave in here. I saw the hole, it was brown, kinda bumpy looking. It has to be around here somewhere!

Methinks they will have an easier time finding it than i did when Jay 1st posted a pic of his.

Those are fantastic hidey holes.

My Black-eyed Gold BN's now have three styles to choose from so hopefully this one does the trick. Its more secure than the others with its small hole and no other entrance. It looks great in there.

Glad you like it. I hope your Black-eyed Gold BN's do too. Mine are in and out of the cave as well as my white-tipped BN's. They're all very young and no one has established as their 'very own'. When one leaves, another often will slip inside. And then of course there are the ramshorn snail 'janitors' who wander in and out on a regular basis (doing housekeeping duties I presume.  .)

I have been trying to do the same thing but only with black substrate... problem is I can't find any natural black substrate that isn't damp to begin with

They are great secret hiding spots.

A little female seems quite comfy in there. The male is to the right of the opening, stuck to the bottom rim. You can barely see a bit of him if you look closely enough. The blue is my lighting, the silicone is clear.

She does look rather comfy in there. I really had to look hard to find the male. As for the blue lighting, it looks rather cool... like a moonglow effect.

I often don't know if they are in the cave (unless I see a face or fin). I didn't think anyone was in the cave this afternoon until I dropped some broccoli into the tank and suddenly out dashed one of my BN's to start munching (he/she had to be the first one to the dinner table. )

It must be broccoli day - I have some in all of my tanks. The Brig's are so delicate with it - they eat it while its floating. Every other species brings that bugger down and they all go at it...lol. I watched the first big Brig after she smelled it. She did a tarzan thing up the plants so she could get at it. They can be very fast when they're motivated.

The light has a blue cast... I think its probably time to replace the bulb. Pic's really bring it out.

I like that the male was hanging around waiting for an invite from the lady ::D: , or that's what I'm hoping anyways.

Let's hope so.
