Banner Exchange

Just wondering who I need to speak with about a banner exchange or something similar. I really like what you are doing with the auction site & would like to help promote it.

I am the webmaster for my local aquarium club & would be willing to put a banner/ad for the auction site on the forum & main website. I think its a great idea & the more exposure we can get the more seller/buyers might participate.

That would be CACAdmin's realm. We don't have blanket rules & policies so you'd have to work something out with him.

The problem with banner exchanges is it dilutes the exposure of paying advertisers and it is often sites with far less exposure than we get who want to do the exchange. Our site is professionally marketed so a certain level of popularity would be necessary to make it fair. There are also some sites that I wouldn't want to promote here and wouldn't want our site promoted on, which I'm sure you can relate to....lol.

We do permit text links to commercial sites in individual signatures, which means the more you contribute the more exposure you get - everybody wins.

Sorry Craig, I missed the club reference. We are happy to support clubs with our club listing and we publish meeting dates through our calendar. That's different than random sites though - is it an official aquarium club as opposed to something web-based only?

Yeah its a real club. The Hamilton & District Aquarium Society has been in steady operation since the early 1950's and is a founding member of the Canadian Association of Aquarium Clubs.

I figure if our club starts to talk about the auction site a little then maybe other local clubs might become interested as well. Check out the website it has a lot of info about the club there.
