Iv spent alot of time and money on this tank, and im very happy with the way its turning out, after having problems with to many fish/snails and plants massivly out growing the tank i think iv kinda got it under control. If anyone has any idea's on how i can fill in the spaces or any plants that would look good in there that would be a great help =D The left corner is so bare >.>

Very nicely aquascaped. That left corner won't be bare for long. That hygro will fill it in pretty quick (I know mine grows quickly.

Hope you figure out the cause of the sore on the rainbow.I was looking in to see if I could see anything sharp in the tank that it could have injured itself on but can't see anything. (occasionally my female mollies will scrape themselves on a rock when desperately trying to elude an overeager male.)

Is it possible my yoyo's could have done it? i used to have 2 flying fox and one of them got the same type of scrap on his side, it got worse after awile like someone was picking at it, he died after awhile :(

I'd be surprised if it was the Yo Yo, sounds more like a disease. He's not a good tankmate for the Applesnails though, I'm afraid. I had to get rid of mine for that very reason ::(: . Nice pic's, the tank is looking great!

So sorry to hear that ::(: . Keep an eye on the remaining occupants of the tank for any sign of disease and be prepared to act promptly. Any signs of stress in the other fish?

::(: Some diseases that cause lesions can infect humans so be very careful when doing maintenance, etc. This (http://members.optushome.com.au/chelmon/Myco.htm) is an informative article that I think every Rainbow owner should read.

Very nice looking tank.

What is the fish you call the "Trouble Maker"? Reason I ask is someone at work brought in a few fish that her son was keeping, in a 10g tank with no maintance, she decided enough was enough and asked if I would take the fish remaining. There are 2 of those, I think they are chinese algae eaters, couple of gold fish and two Platy's. I put the gold fish down, and have the others in a QT tank as they are covered in ick. Not putting to much hope for them, but at least give them a fighting chance.
