Well I've got some floating plants that I have no idea what are lol. They were given to me from my lfs when he gave me some green water for my failed attempt at shrimp breeding. lol. Now my question is since my tank has a a power head and a decent amount of current to it. The fish seem to like it that way. But It tends to take my floating plants into the corner and they do'nt really stay anywhere near what would be best for them. My question is how do you folks make them stay where you want them to?

I had to reread that question a few times ...and i think i understand the question now- You have floating plants that wont stay afloat? With the motor, waves its pusing them down to bottom plants? But you want them to stay floating at the top of the water where its suppose to be?

I think maybe you dont have enough plant to have it stay at the top...how much of the plant do you have? Really not sure i've never had that problem that i can think of...But i'll have a look and see what i can find out for you :)

No They just drift off into the corner into areas where there is no real light.

Nothing you can do about that really, to my knowledge - its just how the current takes them. The only thing I've heard of people doing is placing a barrier around the filter at the surface, with a plastic ring or whatever, but that was to prevent the floating plants from being pushed into the outflow and down to the uptake to be sucked into the filter.
