I am looking for a good book on livebearers. My dream book would include information about the different types, their ideal environment etc.... It would also be easy to read and easy to find information.

What do you recommend?

Aqualog's All Livebearers & Halfbeaks is more for identification, although it does give location & basic information. The one I would LOVE to have is Viviparous Fishes, which is the combined proceedings of the International Symposia on Viviparious Fishes, held in Mexico in 1998 and 2002. The book was published in 2005. Its a 'coffee table' type book in hardcover, and it costs around $150 USD, plus shipping. :swoon: Very technical and detailed I'm told - just the way I like 'em  .

If Santa is listening and would like to purchase that book for me... oops.... I mean, for you...lol...you can e-mail Dr. Harry Grier: hary.grier 'at' verizon.net for shipping info., etc.
