Red tail black shark fin damage

Well I just noticed on my red tail on his forward most fins on the under side one of them appears to have a good hunk missing. Now it doesn't look tatered, more like it was bitten. I wouldn't be suprised but I'm wondering should I do anything to help him heal or just let time take its course. I don't want it to turn bad on me and die.

I would add some Melafix, just to be safe, but who else ya got in the tank?.. might be possible that IS a bite mark like u think it is.
