Still working things out with a new camera, but here's a couple of shots of my backdrop.
(none of which really shows the true color.)

This one's a little closer-

a bit more decor-

still want to add some lo-light, lo-maintenance live plants.
Here's a betta i picked up a couple of weeks ago-

Backdrop is an interesting mosaic pattern... did you make it yourself? What is the background made of?

I tried matching the color of the backdrop to that of the gravel, and came fairly close, but sadly, the printer i used is sometimes hit & miss.
(Wound up with vertical streaks.) I used a "stained glass" filter in photoshop on a modified Canadian flag for the result.
Had it laminated at a print shop for $18.::D:

Best part is, i tested the water last night (test tubes & strips)-
Amm.-0
Nitrites-0
Nitrates- barely legible.
That means a 72gal. cycled with 6 Zebra Danios took less than 5 weeks.
Now i need to find some residents for those caves.

A stained-glass filter... interesting. I like the effect (... and can't see any vertical streaks... if they're there they certainly don't show.)

Sounds like the 72g is ready for more fish::D: (of course, add new occupants gradually, so you don't get a mini-cycle). Looking forward to seeing who else gets to enjoy life in there.

That is very pretty, thank you for posting. and wow two filter intakes that must be a big aquarium! and pretty betta. I always wanted a white and red one with some black. I think I will get one to put in my 2.5g hex when my goldfish dies.

Goldies require a lot more room then 2.5 gallons unfortunately, maybe you can do a swap at your local fish store for a betta.

Back onto the background, Namor that is just plain gorgeous and very creative of you. Thanks for posting this, its a great idea that I might have to steal in the future.

That is absolutely NOTHING like what I was picturing when you mentioned it - it's much better in fact. The full featured Photoshop is my fave, even with the expense and learning curve. I've had it for years and still haven't done half of what it's capable of. Nice work!
