Well, we have to send the puppy off to live with the GF's parents this week. We knew we would only have him temporarily but we'll miss him all the same.

The good news is that we are adopting a new cat on Monday. He's a bengal cross named Boo. He's really sweet tempered and goes crazy over plastic drinking straws.

It rather looks like Boo is saying, "Excuse me, I don't recall giving you permission to take my picture." :twitcy:

Oh what a life...

Boo has settled in well. He takes no notice of the fish tanks which is a good thing because most are open topped. He does however enjoy trying to get at the snake, geckos and rodents...

Boo is so cute. Talk about relaxing... I think I want to come back as a cat in my next life.

He may not take notice to the tank now... but one day there will be a trail of water all the way across the floor.
Mmmmm, I'm thristy and what's that moving in the water. Splash.....

The fish are beneath my cat. She refuses to acknowledge their existence unless they're in a bag on the floor. The scooting shadows in a bag catch her eye but that's it.

I think that's because she's too well fed to bother to attempt to catch her own dinner and it might mean getting her paws wet. Some cats absolutely hate water.... and others, well... When we had cats we had an open-topped 50g tank and they never bothered with the fish. Hopefully Boo is one who is deterred by water.

Yup, he is not a big fan of getting wet.
