The 'Shipping Tips' book has been signed by Mike. He has thrown in an extra book with my purchase, which will be used for future draws. If anyone else would like to purchase a copy, please PM me and I'll put you in touch with him.

Those Livebearer fan friends are especially wonderful, I must say:wink: . Thanks Mike!

And thanks to you, Mr. CACAdmin, who not only donates but also gets stuck with shipping costs on top of the regular forum/auction expenses, not to mention the time investment of technical support, moderating and participation. It's nice to have someone running the place who is that dedicated to seeing the community succeed and ensuring that it's fun too. Too often I see forum admin's strutting around like they're king of fishpoo mountain and contributing little else, which leaves members rolling their eyes and muttering "You own a forum, not a country. Get over yourself and find something useful to do."

 Thanks! The rewards of the time, effort and money are in seeing our community grow and thrive. However, none of this would be possible without my co-admin Melody who volunteers humongous amounts of her time and energy and shares in the admin duties. Nor could we do it without our team of moderators who volunteer so much of their own time to help keep this place running.:notworthy:

People are what makes a community and we have great people here. It's a pleasure getting to know each of you. And best of all, we have fun! :red_dance:

I may foot the bill for the shipping of prizes and donate some but we also rely on the generosity of our sponsors. So please show them your appreciation of their support by visiting their locations when shopping.

Now I'm off to buy the Winning lottery ticket so that we can have even more and bigger prizes. (note the key here is the 'winning ticket' )

Hope to see some of you at Roger's Aquatics (http://www.perkyspets.com/) tomorrow morning.

Congrats Kat!!!

Thanks CAC for donating the prize and to Roger's for hosting the draw.

Thanks to Jay for the site and his hard work and time, Mel for all her help and all the mods for volunteering their time to keep this site running smoothly and keeping it a wonderful place to hang out.

Also thanks to everyone who has been entering fish and other items in the auction! We are slowing growing and hopefully some day we will be as big as the US auction site.

We have lots of great breeders and experienced shippers here! So if your thinking about entering items in the auction, but are new to shipping I am sure they would be willing to help out. There are also articles and books available here. Most shipping items are now available here in Canada, which they were not years ago. So what are you waiting for???

Thanks, Pam. The Auction will grow with the support and participation of our members as more and more people like you take a moment to list items on the auction for sale or auction. Both listing and buying is free and it's easy to do. If anyone has never bought or sold on an auction, and has questions, I'll be happy to answer them. It's best to post questions in the Forum/Auction Questions and Suggestions (http://www.canadianaquariumconnection.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=29) section as any of us can respond. However, I'm always happy to assist by PM, too.

PS. As much as I'd love to take credit for donating the prize:notworthy: , with the exception of a few items the Starter Shipping Kit was donated by CanadiansInternet.com (http://www.canadiansinternet.com/shopping) (my hardworking co-admin, Melody:smile: )

I forgot to update this, many thanks guys I recieved my box of supplies as well as my autographed copy of Shipping Tips For Tropical Fish Hobbyists by Mike Hellweg, it was a very helpful/good read and I am sure my fish will benefit from my newfound knowledge. For anyone interested in shipping, I highly reccomend it!

I meant to take photo's of the entire package but I have already dug into it and have used it. And already I cannot find my darn marker! Jeeze!

Many many thanks to CAC for being such a wonderful place!

What Mel sends disappearing markers!!! Thank goodness she has not sent me any! I have a little tool box that holds all my shipping stuff/auction stuff, but sometimes stuff is missing. Of course I would have put everything back where I got it from.:yes:So it must be someone using my shipping stuff.:spinny:
