As I strive valiantly to stay out of the junk food this Holiday Season, I received this in my e-mail this morning. I thought it might make someone else feel better too, and maybe even open a few male eyes ;) .
Facts on Figures
There are 3 billion women who don't look like super models and only eight who do.
Did you know Marilyn Monroe wore a size 14?
If Barbie was a real woman, she'd have to walk on all FOURS due to her proportions!
The average woman weighs 144 pounds and wears between a size 12-14.
One out of every 4 college-aged women has an eating disorder.
The models in the magazines are AIRBRUSHED, NOT Perfect!
A psychological study in 1995 found that 3 minutes spent looking at a Fashion Magazine caused 70% of women to feel depressed, guilty and shameful.
Models 20 years ago weighed 8% Less than the average Woman. Today they weigh 23% less.
In total, men gain more weight than women after marriage, and far less care if they do or not.
There are very few men that married for looks who didn't later regret the decision (that's my addition....lol).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So rather than focus on weight loss, I've decided to focus on overall health. Weight loss is a bonus of being healthy after all.:biggrin: Kick these last five cigarettes/day, stop spending 22/7 either laying down or sitting at a keyboard, vegetable soup rather than sandwiches (I'm the sandwich queen, I'd never cook if I didn't have the kid to cook for). I suppose I should be happy that my Doctor says I'm the only person he knows who can lose weight over the Holidays :laugh: . With that determination, getting healthy should be a breeze.
Wishing you all a healthy 2007!
