Here is the new 30G cube. It has a 6700K 96W quad Coralife fixture, Eco-complete, Rena XP2 filter and a Red Sea DIY CO2 set-up. It will eventually have 2 german rams, 20 harlequin rasboras, 1 SAE and 1 BN pleco. I will post more pictures as the plants fill in and as I add the livestock. Let me know what you think.

Those are awesome. I intend to have a giant cube in the middle of a room one of these days. Looks great!

Thanks. And yes it is a DIY stand. It was built for me by a member of another forum.

Wow! Is that ever nice. I love the awesome contrast the substrate and plants create. I bet the fishies are going to be really happy in there:thumbup:

Lookin good!
The only problem with such a nicely set up tank is that everything will probably run too sooothly and you'll find yourself messing with stuff just for the heck of it!

Well, it's been up and running for a few weeks now. A bit of algae but otherwise everything looks good. I'm probably overstocked but I will thin it out a little once everyone grows a little bigger. Currently houses 2 german rams, 20 harlequin rasbora, 1 SAE, 1 BN pleco and some ramshorn snails. Plants are Cryptocoryne parva, Echinodorus bleheri and some Wisteria in the back.

No snails in this tank except for some ramshorns I'm afraid, the water is too soft and acidic. The ramshorns are only there to help control the algae.

Ah, a responsible decision. My responsible decision is to only have fish that can reside in hard water...lol. I would like to have one tank for the soft water lovers though, its just not feasible at the moment. I have to utilize every ounce of space.

I have been informed that the foreground plant is actually Cryptocoryne parva and not Echinodorus tenellus. Serves me right for not doing more research. Oh well, it still looks good. But it grows slower and will take forever to form a nice lawn.
Hahaha... I just realized that the moderator for the plant forum doesn't know how to tell plants apart!
