I want to hear about all of the fishy holiday gifts everyone received, including the ones you bought for yourself! I don't know what mine are yet  but I'll report later!

I actually told the kid that I wanted fishies for Christmas and he said they'd die by Christmas so he couldn't do that. Tonight he comes downstairs with my wrapped gift and says very seriously "Don't shake this one or you'll hurt the fish." Dunno where he gets that smartypants humour from!:Dunno:

Santa didn't bring me anything this year...

I won't be exchanging presents with my GF until she gets back next weekend. I'll probably hit up the LFS boxing day sales tomorrow and buy myself a christmas present.

Sounds like everyone did fine so far, except Mr. GP, who will buy himself something wonderful tomorrow. We insist. :D

My Mommy wrote me a nice note with a nice money order saying that she knows how I love my fishies so she thought she'd do that instead of a gift card. So I'll be doing some guiltless shopping - what better gift? Of course, I'll probably still feel guilty because that's just what I do, but I'll get over it at least for the day.

Well, just finished the Boxing Day Circuit, picked up my buddy @ 7:30am and visited 4 stores (1 store twice), back home by 10:30. No fish, just hardware: light tubes, filtration material, food, water conditioners, a couple of heaters. Felt kinda out of place because everybody else had bags of fish and we didn't.

Already making plans for next year. No need to head out so early unless you are buying fish. Saw big tanks constantly being wheeled out of BA, all discus were sold out within the hour @ King Ed's, J&L good prices made better with discounts on hardware...so good we turned around and went back a second time to pick up the heaters. ;)

Definitely busiest @ BA, line-ups longest @ J&L before the doors opened.

We did good...time for the other half for her go around...good luck to everybody else.

Hard to tell...I didn't look at any of the fish, too crowded. The tanks they wheel out from a backroom somewhere. Most of the tanks I saw were 5' length 120's, I didn't see any 65's purchased when I was there...I was in and out within half an hour.

Just aquired some of the first F1 Retroculous xinguensis in the world. Absolutely gorgeous fish bred by Lee Newman, the first successful attempt worldwide.

I also lucked out and found wild caught Satanoperca Juripari, yes actual Juripari, in a shipment of wild Satanoperca Daemon.

of course, the trip was all about HER new tank! LOL

Got an early Christmas present of some pretty baby gold marisa snails and some plants.:D Don't know yet if I will get any other 'fish-y' presents as we won't be doing our Christmas family dinner/gift excahnge until this coming Saturday (Dec 30th)... UC some of us had to work Christmas Day/Boxing Day.

I got a fish atlas, the name of which eludes me at the moment. I also got a master test kit with my petcetera certificates. No one in my family understands the depth of my fishy obsession (except hubby), so they don't really buy me fishy stuff.

LOL Yeah but by feeding your addiction, he justifies his own purchases for his matching addiction. You two are destined to be broke but happy  . As long as the system works, it rocks ;) .

Nice score! I'm not surprised that it was Lee who accomplished it - he knows his stuff, that's for sure. I hope we'll see pictures!
