Well I final got my moms ok to create a pond for our patio. It would have to be a barel as they will not let me dig a pond.. I was wondering if any one here has a barel pond? If you you I would love to see pics and get some ideas.
(If everything goes right ill be puting fish in it over the summer months... he he bettas?)

Thanks for the links! Ill keep my eye out for a container and one of thoes little pumps that go out in a circle of water. Do I need any filters do you think?

I picked my plastic pot up at Home Depot if I remember correctly and I know a lot of garden centres sell pots & barrels.
As for a filter, it's a good idea if you are going to put critters (snails &/or fish) in there or you're going to have to do a lot more water changes.
A lot of little pumps don't come with any place for filter media but you can always stick a piece of sponge over the intake and then rinse that out regularly. Pam got the larger version of my pump and it has an area for media. Other years I have just shoved a sponge over the end of mine. This year I got creative and made a filter intake tube & put a sponge over it (see this thread (http://www.canadianaquariumconnection.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3646)).

dont get a too strong filter cuz we dont want a vortex in there ;)
