i don't believe i've posted pics of these guys before. I've had em for 6 months or so.
A friend was moving and wouldn't be able to take her tank so i took on the kids.

That's a beautiful Parrot cichlid. What do they other cichlids think of their new tankmate?

not too bad - Rosie the parrot pretty much ignores the others unless they get nippy with him/her than it'll snap back but that rarely ever happens.
I think it helps that i added another canester filter that's rated for 225g's so in the 55g tank it has approx. 300g's of filtration.

She's a big fish so you were probably wise to increase the filtration.

Which tank is the ropefish in?

same one - once there's a canopy on the 7 ft tank i'll put him in there but they can escape and go on a walk about so he's safer in the 55g with rosie and the africans. They've always been together so it's not too bad.

I thought it might be but it was hard to tell for sure from the pics. He's probably quite happy to be where he is. I wonder what he thinks of all the africans. Any recent spawns in that tank?

no my saulosi juvi's i got from the last big auction have just matured and changed colours. I got the perfect mix of males and females. Last time i had them i had 7 males and 1 female. Now i have 2 females and 1 male so there's a good chance i'll have some good breeding.
