What do the babies look like?

I was just looking in my 33 that has had several clutches laid on the lid / not sure if any of them hatched but all of a sudden I see lots of little almost clear snailish looking critters on my tank glass / they are about 1mm in size and are clear to whitish in color... are they Bridgesii....................

Sounds like it might be. Do you have a magnifying glass. You should be able to see their little antennae.

If you have a digital camera you can also take some photo's and then zoom in on them. I did this last summer to identify what colour the hatchlings were before I started keeping them in colour specific tanks.

Congratulations Jerry. I have had clutches but have never seen any of them hatch much less see young snails.

Congrats on the baby Brigs. If they look clean then they're likely to be ivory, or pink I would venture to guess. Purples tend to be darker right off from my experience.

The camera doesn't have to focus - you can usually make out the species and shades from a blurry pic. The only other snails that you'd usually see as clear is those pesky, tiny, clear ramshorn-like snails. You can usually tell that's what they are though - the shell lays to the side rather than upright like regular rams, but you can see the ram horn shape. MTS are mini adults from day one so you'd know if that was the case. I'm guessing Brig's too. Congrat's!

If you look at your clutches you can get a visual on how tiny they are when they're hatched:

Some itty bitty babies. As a guideline subject to variances:

- The speckled ones with an ivory shell will be blue.
- The speckled ones with a pinkish tint will be purple.
- Speckled on gold is going to be jade or striped jade.
- The other speckled ones will probably be 'wild' colours - chocolate/black. The can look very much like jade/striped jade as hatchlings.
- If they don't have speckles, they'll be light foot snails: Pink, ivory & gold.
