I've decided that I would like all my big tanks to be acrylic from here on out. Now here's the problem, it seems that all the big companies that build them are in the States. Does anyone know of any other manufacturers besides Tenecor and Seaclear? None of the LFS carry them so I'd have to order from the States and pay way too much for shipping.

Looks like Acra-Fab based in Toronto manufactures tanks. (acrafab.ca)

That's only if you have a cheap acrylic tank. Good acrylic does not scratch as easily and any scratches can be buffed out with the right tools. It is also lighter, stronger and clearer than glass. Unlike glass, there is no silicone joint to fail and cause a leak. The molecular bonds are stronger than the acrylic itself. This is a very important consideration for me when dealing with 100+ gallons of water.

Don't own acrylic but I would like to replace my main display tank with one, one day.
Here's another manufacturer and I believe there are some locally in the lower mainland that custom builds them. I can direct you to them, but don't know about shipping.

The Afishionados (http://cichlaholic.com/) brings them into Winnipeg.
