I am currently awaiting two. One for my flowering anubias and one for a crypt.

I tend to forget about HAP. Mostly because I don't have a green thumb (for either aquatic plants or terrestrial ones). I'd have little chance of getting an Anubias to bloom... especially if I were trying for a certificate. :rolleyes: .
Anyone else have or working towards a certificate... if so, let us know. (And maybe even post a pic for people like me who have difficulty ID'ing plants.)

Actually I never planned on the anubias cert. flowering but it developed the stem and I sent pictures to our HAP guy to ask if it was a flower starting and he said it was and that when it flowered to let him know cause I could get a cert for the flower. Something I never knew.

See, it never hurts to ask a question. All you were looking for was an answer and you end up with a certificate too.

Congrat's! I don't think we have that here but I think it's a great thing. Good luck!

OK -- now I am very curious about this new ( to me ) acronym. All I could find on it would imply that you were rewarded for launching a plant into the stratosphere.
:Holiday-2::Holiday-2: Please don't get me wrong; I am all for it !
I am confident I know not of the HAPS of which you speak.

HAP = Horticultural Award Program
Lots of fish clubs have such a thing. It is a separate category to recognize the accomplishments of the plant people.

My club doesn't do BAP or HAP... or at least they don't talk about. My giganto-anubias would be a good candidate for some points, I think.:yes:

Me thinks you could plant that in your back yard and enjoy a nice shady picnic under that beautiful beast

Hi Andrew, Your club probably has it but no one is bringing in stuff for awards so nothing is noticed. Check your handbook it should be listed in there. And I would think you should get an award it.
