It's New Year's Day and so I thought I'd start it off with a photoshoot of the livebearers in my 70G - some of my Platys were happy to pose, my mollies were camera shy. Particularly shy are the Black Golddust mollies. They're also difficult to get a good shot of unless they are in from of a white rock for contrast.

I couldn't get any of my plumetail platys or the male Black Golddust Molly but here are some of the rest of the crowd. As you can see the mollies have grown quite a bit since I first got them (pics here (http://www.canadianaquariumconnection.com/forum/showthread.php?t=192)) and the female Green Lyretail Sailfin Molly is pregnant. :D

Nice shots! Did you get a new camera for Christmas or have you been practicing?

Thanks! Nope still using the same camera and yes practice helps (and also taking tons of shots to get a few good ones...lol.)

However, I think the credit goes to my fishies most of whom seemed today to want to be on camera... maybe that was their belated Christmas present to me!
