Being that this is the Cichlid thread, I thought that i would put it to the Cichlid Guru's the compatability of Cichlids with other fish. I am considering adding some/a few to a 65g that has 3 Clown Loach and a large common Pleco.....I don't want anything aggresive but maybe something that could get along with these, which happen to be some of my favorite fish.....Any ideas???

Thanks for your help!

You have to choose from which lake? African cichlids? (Tang., Malawi, or Victoria) SA or CA?

Can you narrow it down a bit?

lol....ya i'm a newbie.....:P i would like to add some cichlids that are colourfull and large...Yes i know that that is a very broad spectrum, hence why i'm putting it to people in the "know"

but giving the space of your tank, you won't be able to house large cichlids...

You still have to choose from which lakes...

I'm biased in my opinion, but you should consider a couple Geophagus Surinemensis, Satanaperca Leucosticta and/or Juripari, and maybe a couple SilverDollars. The SilverDollars will get big fast, and the Geophagus will get about 7inch in a year or so.

In a 65g, I'd put:
1 Geophagus Surinemensis
3-5 Juripari/Leucosticta
3-5 Silver Dollars
3 Clown Loach
1 Pleco

like I said, I'm biased......
