Florida has proposed new rules for the harvest of marine fish in it's quest to minimize the impact on coral reefs. Species are being added to the list of what can be collected as well as changes in min/max sizes of some species and daily .catch limits per person or per vessel.

Proposed changes include: a commercial daily bag limit for all corallimorph polyps of 100 polyps per person or 200 per vessel (if two endorsement-holders" and "for zoanthid polyps of one gallon of polyps per person or two gallons per vessel ".

Other proposed changes are to reduce the "commercial bag limit for angelfish (gray, French, blue and queen) from 75 per person and 150 per vessel to 50 per person and 100 per vessel".

Although these are proposals for commercial interests, apparently it will also be applied to the recreational collector.

I wonder if this will have an impact of the price of marine species at the retail level.

I would imagine so yes.

I think it would probably affect the pricing.
