I just finished a batch of critter crumbs and threw some in each tank. I add more garlic than usual really big heads. And added some of the pea powder Mel sent me. I don't think they mind do you?
Third pic my shrimp kings or queens of the critter crumb castle( sorry bad pic) In the last pic it looks like a stand off between Ms. Bristlenose and the teenage canas.

They sure seem to be enjoying their dinner (what can you expect with a fresh batch of critter crumbs served by the cook herself. ). I find fish really enjoy garlic and peas (and both are really good for them)... in fact I like garlic too but I think I'll stick to human food.

Pam do you normally include peas and substituted the pea powder or is the pea powder something totally new? Whichever is the case, I'd say it's a hit.

Something totally new. The vegetables that are normally in them are broccoli, red peppers, corn, carrots, Zucchini and onions.

They're having more veggies for dinner than I had. Maybe I should come eat at your house. (However, I'd hate to see the look on hubby's face when this guy from the internet shows up on his doorstep with plate in hand looking for dinner.:twitcy: )

I am actually thinking about rehydrating peas, since every where that carries the red mill products does not carry the pea powder. I was also thinking about rehydrated legumes as the meat source as they are a great protein source. With only trace amounts of fat.

Let us know if you give any of this a try.

By the way, I forgot to mention that it was great to get to see one of your newly acquired gouramis in the pic too... very pretty... but probably wondering what all the fuss was about.

I just moved him into the big tank today, I think he was in on the grabbing. His colours actually show up even better in natural light the same goes for the rainbows.

Pea flour - pea powder is a larger grind. Not to be nit-picky, it just might be harder to find if you ask for powder. If you can't find it by the time I ship to you again, let me know and I'll pick up a bag for you.

They sure look like happy campers!
