They're one of my fave Limias - the males positively sparkle in blue. The females get huge! Its a champion line, incidentally - the breeder placed first in the Limia Category at the 2006 American Livebearer Association show. First of all Limias in that company is very impressive. The best of the best world-wide are in that show.
I'd definitly recommend going on his waiting list  .

At the moment the waiting list is on a waiting list  .
I'll probably be able to share a few, what I will really need is someone to trade with, so I can keep things healthy, genetically speaking.
Just to add, I found some fry in the Kykesis tank and Liberty tank also. :red_dance:

You're quickly becoming the Livebearer King! Whatever you do, just remember YOU'RE a Livebearer. Don't touch your wife or you'll be turning the fishroom back into a bedroom.
The Perugiae are reasonably easy to obtain in the States. The next time I see them on a breeder list that I'm ordering from, I'll snag us some to freshen the bloodlines.

Most of it is Duckweed with some Riccia mixed in, the Duckweed grows at an insane rate. I skim most of it off every week and feed it to my Cana snails. They eat it like it was candy.
Within a week or ten days there is a thick mat of it again !

Every morning, breakfast is a Nutrifin Basix flake and dinner is either Daphnia,Micro Crabs, Krill, Tubifex worms, Bloodworms, Spirolena wafers or whatever leftover veggies I have from dinner.
Doesn't seem to matter what I put in the tank, they'll eat it !

Hmmm... how many water changes? You're getting a good growth rate - not too fast, not too slow.

One water change per week, about 20%.
Every 2 or 3 water changes I toss in a little marine salt, to help keep the nasties down.
I read somewhere a while back, that the best therapeutic use of salt was not a constant dose of it, but an occasional increase in concentration.
I don't know how accurate that information was for sure, but so far, no outbreaks of any of the common aquarium ailments in any of the racks of tanks ( gotta find a piece of wood to touch ).

Tooooooo easy.... methinks you're using magic Chinese hormones.
As for salt, the nasties can build up an immunity to that like everything else, so you should either keep it at a half dose so you are able to treat nasties if they show up, or as you say, keep the dose fluctuating. Half is plenty for theraputic use anyway - it apparently does the exact same amount of good & the rest is overkill/money-grab.
