:broomstick: I distribute safety materials for our housing complex. While searching I found an excellent Halloween safety site (http://www.halloween-safety.com) that has all sorts of safety tips/information (for everyone, including pets), costume suggestions, decorating, etc etc etc.

While I'm not a big fan of dressing pets up in outfits, a lot of them appear to enjoy the attention and I must admit that I get a kick out of pet costumes. Check out Yoda and the other pet costumes from a store (http://www.qksrv.net/click-956580-3996321) that specializes in costumes and costumes only. Entirely Pets (http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-956580-10370103) also has a Halloween section.
If you're going to dress the pets up, it's a good idea to get costumes specifically designed for them rather than making something up yourself. They're usually designed with safety features such as velcro neck attachments which let go so they don't get caught on anything when they're wandering.
Wishing you & your pets a safe & fun Halloween! :witch:

About.com was one of the first websites I found when I came online, and they still can eat up days for me when I visit...lol. They do a great job on the Holidays and I received these in a newsletter this morning:
Spooky Halloween Candy (http://candy.about.com/od/halloweencandyrecipes/tp/spooky_candies.htm) & easy Kid Recipes (http://kidscooking.about.com/od/halloweenrecipes/tp/halloween-recipes.htm).
Haunting Halloween Cocktails (http://cocktails.about.com/od/cocktailrecipes/tp/halloween_cktl.htm)

Here's an idea for making your kids much more visible when out Trick-or-Treating. It's an orange reflective bag (http://www.night-gear.com/p/All/468/Reflective-Halloween-Trick-or-Treat-Bag-by-illumiNITE.htm) that looks like a pumpkin (and a ghostly pumpkin in the dark).

:PumpedPumpkin: Tim Hortons will be giving out their reflective treat bags again this year. :PumpedPumpkin:
More than 2.4 million reflective Tim Hortons Halloween "Treat Bags" are distributed to Tim Hortons customers and their children for free in October. These fun, reflective bags help children to be seen after dark while trick-or-treating. Available at participating stores, starting in October. ~ Tim Hortons (http://www.timhortons.com/en/goodwill/local-programs.html)
They also have pumpkin donuts & muffins... like my hips need those this time of year. I'll never be able to take off if I keep this up!:SmileyWitch:
UPDATE: Available for 2009!!

There's a trick or treat age? :err: That's right Melody. It doesn't matter if you have a great costume, trick'or'treat-ing is for kids (not the adults who just still think they're kids. )
And besides, Jay trick or treats here every year so I don't know what he's going on about.
:WhoMe: ?:NoWay: :VampSmiley:It's not my fault if a certain :SmileyWitch:feels it necessary to send home a bag of goodies to ward off this :Vampire: . Speaking of which, the goodies are all gone.... it may be time to pay another visit. ::D:

It might be a little stale by the time it gets to your place (or then again 'somebody' might accidentally eat it before it gets there.):twitcy:
