I've been predicting this for so long, I was starting to doubt myself....lol. We're a careful bunch. We like to watch the US make all of the mistakes first and fix them, then we place a toe in the water. Take it out, do the hokey pokey for a few years, and finally our youngsters grow up, get credit cards and show us how its done.

Regardless, its good news for people like me. The US topped a hundred billion in online buying through 2006 and we're still looking kinda wimpy at only 8 billion. However, its improving, with more than half of online Canadians expected to make an internet purchase this year. By 2009, 3 out of 4 online adult Canadians should be online shoppers.

Its a very good time to own a cybermall. :D Doesn't do me much good when I don't get around to updating it because I'm too busy working on everyone else's websites...lol....so I'm off to work on my sites this week.

Anyways, thought y'all might find that interesting. Source of info: http://www.emarketer.com/Article.aspx?1004372&src=article2_home

We have a small population estimated at 32,795,541 whereas the US population is estimated at 300,935,866). So we're not doing too badly in comparison. We just let the US 'break into the market' first so to speak and as you say make & fix the mistakes before we venture in.

But I'll agree. We Canadians are a cautious bunch... especially, the over 50 crowd (of which I guess I have to admit :Eek:I'm one.) Growing up there were no credit cards, no debit cards, no gift cards or any of the assorted plastic used for purchasing these days. The internet didn't exist and a computer took up half the floor of an office building.:swoon: Yes, we're dinosaurs, I know, and so a lot of us take a little longer to wade in whilst those who have grown up with computer technology as a fundamental part of their lives, jump right in (& eventually drag the rest of us with them. )

Sorry for the interruption, Melody. Now, I'll send you back to work on your sites. I honestly don't know when you find time to get any work done. We keep you far too busy here.

If this was the only site I was working on, it would be easy and downright fun
