I've got a bunch of fish that I'd like to find a good home for.

I'm planning to redo my 50 gal tank in the living room of my house. In order to do that, I need to find homes for a few fish.

First off - Danios, lots of them. 4 or 5 leopard, 4 or 5 Purple Passion, 4 or 5 Zebra adults. Also 25ish ( you try counting Danios ) nearly fully grown juvenile Zebras.

5 Black skirt Tetras and one large common Pleco.

I don't really want to ship these guys and every store in town has them, but if someone local to me is reading this and wants them, PM me.

Yeah, it's too bad you live in Cow Town. Hope you find a good home for them!

Blaine, I know you don't really want to ship them but, when I order the splendens from ya, if you still have these guys I can take them at the same time if nobody else has already spoken for them if that would work for you?

I can probably ship most of them.

I don't think the pleco would survive the trip, he/she is huge, that's the reason I have to part with it.

Just want to be sure you counted, that's alot of Danios !

If you're up for all those fish, I'll pack them up for you !

Thanks Blaine,

I actually did count and I plan on sharing :D

Have someone in mind who's been bugging me on helping her get some more fish for her 45gal and then of course if anyone on here would like a few I'm sure I could share a few more :)

If the pleco wouldn't make it then I wouldn't want to risk it either.

<ELBOWING IN> I have heard nothing but horror stories when it comes to shipping large plecos... actually I have heard of one Asian seller who gets large fish shipped alive and that's about it. Large fish are very tough to ship - bag busters for starters so if you do it, use good thick bags and triple them.

I can definitly vouch for Ms. Aquascaper as a good home though  .

If you guys wouldn't mind, let me know when this is going down if Ms. Aquascaper is interested in sharing shipping, supposing the fishies I want from Blaine are available anyway. :D If you'd rather keep it less complicated, I understand that too.

I don't want any of Blaine's fishies now because, as my kid put it when he was three, "he's meanewme" :Neener: .

Or it could be that I didn't think you were doing it quite that soon and my Visa objects after working it so hard at Christmas, but don't tell him I said that  .

Oh Poop! Didn't I send that last one out in a pm? :Frog:

:hugs:Melody, You know you're always welcome to join in any of my $$ spending adventures :D

Blaine, I msg'd my friend and it looks like she went out and got some fishies for her tank so I can only take the following extra fish: 4 or 5 leopard, 4 or 5 Purple Passion, 4 or 5 Zebra adults and the 5 Black skirt Tetras.

Note: If someone here would like the other 25 juvenile Danios let me know and I can still order them, but I will be charging a fee to re-coup some of the shipping costs of the extra 25 fish, I will require a deposit ahead of time and it will be a pick up only deal. I will be placing the order by the 20th of January (weather permitting)

Wow - you sound like an ol' pro - good plans for sure. You could do a group order for the Splendens if you're a mind to - I don't see them around here much, if at all.

Thanks for being willing to bring me in. I figure by 2009 I'll have these Christmas bills paid off and then look out!

Good luck with the order U 2 - you both have my recommendation actually. Such nice folks around here, even when they're meanewme.:( OK OK - Now my whining is even getting on my own nerves so I'll stop...lol.

Enjoy those fishies - Sure is a smokin' deal!

LOL well now you're giving me WAY too much credit m'dear this will be my first ever shipment of anything so I'm attempting to keep it simple lol.

However, if someone would like some Splendens also, you may be able to twist my rubber arm into asking Blaine if he'll throw a few more in the bag but now you'll be sharing shipment costs with me just like for the Danios, so please be aware of what you are getting yourself into :D. (although, I must say, a few bucks in shipping for these fish is apparently well worth it since they are basically being given away at this point)

If you're like Mel and are waiting till 2009 to order anything and I don't blame you if you are, I'm sure she'll be ordering plenty of goodies from everywhere and she's definitely a pro LOL.

Just to update, I still have 25ish Zebra Danios, 5 Black skirt Tetras and a huge Pleco.
All free to a good home.

If anyone is interested I still have a few Ameca Splendens left as well.
They have been procreating quite a bit lately so I still have a few if anyone is interested.
More info here http://www.canadianaquariumconnection.com/forum/showthread.php?t=448
I'd like to get $2.00 each for the Ameca Splendens.
