i'd love to see a thread dedicated to that end of the hobby, might attract more folks from that walk of life as aquatic predators are always filled with wonderful personalities :)
just a thought, i'd love to start posting info about piranhas from my experiances with them...
all the best... sorry for being away for a bit too...
anyone else think this would be gnarly?
cheers

People still say gnarly? Wow, I don't feel nearly as old now....lol.
I think you're absolutely correct actually. What I was trying to figure out is what it should contain/encompass. I was thinking of changing the Cichlid section to Aggressives & Predators. However, I'm not into either group so if you have a better suggestion, I'd love to hear it.
Who else thinks this, or a variation thereof, would be gnarly? :D
I may not own them, but there is a certain fascination with the group that most seem to have. I'd love to learn more about them and you're just the guy to teach me/us  .

I can't keep such tanks at this point, but I enjoy watching the madness from the sidelines...
Gnarly!

although i need to get my camera fixed, hahah
glad its got some interest thou, all the best

Perfect - now someone think of a name so I can go nag Jay about it. We're trying to keep the number of sections reasonable, yet include sections you don't normally see - its a wicked (another aged saying) balance.
Sounds awesome - totally. Shouldn't you have an equally goofy sidekick for this show? You know - Wayne & Garth, Bob & Doug, Ryan & .... ?
No, it can't be Predator Fish Barbie... although with your artistic talent I've probably inspired you to come up with one...lol.

Actually, i think instead of changing the existing cichlid section, there should just be further break downs according to their location such as South American, Africans. As for the predatory fish they definitely deserve their own section, according to species perhaps if there is enough interest such as piranhas. For the rest maybe an oddball section? which can include everything else that doesnt fit such as snakeheads toadfish etc.
mmmMmmmm...predatory fish:yes:

We don't seem to have a lot of Cichlid interest as yet, but sub-dividing the section is certainly something we can look at when the time comes.
Oddballs might be just the ticket, maybe oddballs & predators, sub-divided later as necessary. We don't want the list of sections to be so long that people have to look at it a zillion times to figure out where to post, type thing, but I do like an organized forum so we'll find a happy medium.
Then instead of goofy, Ryan can call himself an oddball and his sidekick can be the predators  .
Thanks for the suggestions - Heaven only knows where they'd end up if it was left to my lack of knowledge about them.
