free music download sites such as limewire. Some songs are infected with viruses on purpose to discourage free music downloads.
Found out the hard way just got computer up and running again, happened also to 4 of my daughters friends who also use limewire.

Thanks for the warning, I wish my brother would listen to me sometimes, I've been trying to tell him this for a long time now but teenagers nowadays think they know everything....

Usually the Limewire system catches that stuff I'm told. Thanks for taking the time to let everyone know.

Not sure what kind of virus my protection did not catch it. Crashed my computer. Got a black screen with choose safe mode
normal mode etc. click on and windows screen would come and then back to black.
Had to restore everything.

Thanks for the heads-up. I don't download music, but my daughter does so will pass along the info. Glad you've got your system back up & running. You said you had to restore everything? Sounds like you were wise & made backups of the stuff on your computer. Good woman! You get an A+ and a bunch of gold stars from me for that. (I have spent almost my entire career in the computer industry saying: 'Backup', 'Backup', 'Backup'... and it usually fell on deaf ears... until the day they lost everything. )

You and me both, Melody. Why they put their efforts into vandalism I have no idea.(that's what it amounts to... just an internet version).:realmad: :realmad: :realmad:

Actully did restore everything, but I did not clear the system(did not know how) and must have missed something the tech told me. Anyway, encountered more problems with everything I did, so gave it to the tech to do and got it back Sat, but they changed the monitor setting and when I got it home did not like my monitor. Tech told me what to do over the phone, did not work so today had to take it back.
Now after a week of problems or not computer I am up and running problem free.
goes to knock on wood.
Yes I had made back up dics thank goodess.
Feels like a new computer.

Ok Celebrations sound good pass me my glass.
My second pair of albino bns have had brown babies.
My first pair of albino bn have produced all albinos, the second pair mom is the sister to dad of first pair and dad is the brother of first pair's mom.

Hmmm! It's interesting to see the genetic anomalies. One would think that given that the first pair (siblings of the second pair) produced all albinos that the same would have occurred with this pair. Were the 4 adults all offspring of albino parents, or brown ones, or a combination?

The Albino gene can be carried without being visible, so if you crossed the two browns from that spawn, you'd get a good portion of albinos. It could be that only one or both inherited the gene from only one parent, increasing the odds of browns. It is strange that there wasn't a mix though. Albinos are weaker by nature so maybe you lost them?

People breed them and sell them as albinos if they look like albinos, but they should be labelled as a true breeding line or not. I've yet to see anyone do that with Pleco variations though. I've run into that since the beginning because I do the domestic Livebearer strains. Technically we should not sell anything as a color strain unless it breeds true for several generations, as in all offspring look like the parents in whatever way you claim. You can also say it breeds true but throws the occasional brown or whatever.

Its actually a good selling feature for the browns to say they carry the Albino gene :) .

And anyways, congrat's!:Celebrate:

Jeez, you know you are a bunch of fish nerds when you manage to steer a perfectly good off topic thread back toward fish and the complexities of breeding...

Well, not necessarily totally off topic... the music might have been intended to serenade the bn's to put them in the mood
