Common name: Celestial Pearl Danio/Galaxy Rasbora
Scientific name: Danio margaritatus formerly Celestichthys margaritatus
Family: Cyprinidae
Origin: Southeast Asia
Adult size: 2cm
Tank Specs

Minimum Tank Size: 2.5 gallon
Water Parameters (PH/GH/KH): PH of 6/5-7.5
Temperature: 20-25 C or 68 -77 F
Special Requirements: Suitable Tankmates: Smaller peaceful community fish.
Minimum Group Size: 5 or more
Diet: Will eat crushed flake and small pellet food as well as frozen and live baby brine, also daphnia.
Sexing: Females are less colorful and also have clear ventral fins, the females will also be more "rounded" when ready to spawn.
Breeding and Reproduction: Egg scaterer and like most danios will eat the fry. Best to set up a breeding tank and remove parents after spawning. The spawning tank should have lots of fine leaved plants such as java moss and or spawning mops. Fry hatch within three to five days and need to be fed the finest of foods.
