Minimum Tank Size: 5 gallon

Temperature: 24-26 C
Special Requirements: Suitable Tankmates: Small and peaceful community fish
Minimum Group Size: Six or more
Diet: Will take almost anything so long as it is small enough, feeds on small insects in the wild.
Sexing: The males are typically more colourful than the females, as well females generally have an extra dark spot above the anal fin.
Breeding and Reproduction: This fish are not too difficult to spawn. A small tank of about 2.5 gallons is ideal and a group of two males and one female. The tank should be heavily planted with java moss and or guppy grass. As with most cyprinids the parents will eat the eggs so care should be taken to protect the eggs by removing the parents or using a marble or grate system.
