Earth Day 2009 is on April 22nd. It's a great time to share information with your local fish club about keeping our waterways clean and thriving. It's also an especially good time to share info on wild release (http://www.canadianaquariumconnection.com/forum/showthread.php?t=361) and invasive aquatic plants (http://www.canadianaquariumconnection.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5923).
Earth Day Canada (http://www.earthday.ca/pub/index.php) has lots of information, resources/downloads (http://www.earthday.ca/pub/resources/action.php) & event listings. A quick Google brings you all sorts of fantastic printable materials.
You can plan an event for any time of year. The Evergreen (http://www.evergreen.ca/en/) website offers a volunteer/event guide, provides funding, tracks events and more.
We'd love to hear about what you do with your club  .
Happy Earth Day!
