Glad to hear the import made it - waiting for that stuff is maddening, especially around the holidays.

He also has his very own merchant section and can post as many threads as he wants to there - time for a catalogue Ryan! That's not to say that he can't post them here of course. I'd like to see them too:smile: . Since I can't keep them I haven't actually looked them up so I'm looking forward to it.
One thing I hope this section will accomplish is letting people know what they're getting into with some of these fish. Always best for the fish and the fish-keeper that way. It seems that the minute someone brings these fish up in some forums, people are all over them telling them that basically they're idiots to even entertain the thought. I don't think that accomplishes anything except disouraging them from asking questions.

Got to agree with that, just cause I don't keep em, doesn't mean someone who does, or wants to, is an idiot.
My belief is that the primary function of a forum is to promote and inform. As well as promote diversity in the hobby.
I may be primarily a livebearer fan, but even I don't want just what my LFS can supply.
If I had the space, money and time, I'd like to try a wider variety of fish.
Without useful, friendly, information from other fishkeepers, it would be nearly impossible to care for what I have now.
I'd have no chance with fish a little further from the norm without places like this.

i'll be glad to provide any info i know from my own experiances... after all its how we learn, from ours and others misstakes...
but my time with just piranhas, have taught me there is so much more to these fish than their reputation of mindless killers that eat whatever hits that water...
i think the biggest misconception about keeping predators is most people think that they will only eat live food.

it might be best to keep the fish for stock in the according forums...
but all the pictures you are asking will be found in there :)
all the best

Pics are just fine my dear - no worries. If someone asks where they can find them you're welcome to say you have them as well. Pushy sales and ad graphics are the only things that aren't welcome. Opportunity marketing is just helping both parties, in my opinion.
There were several people wanting a certain species of snail I had in a forum once, so I told them they may want to consider a group buy as they're far away and would save on shipping. Two minutes later I had a mod message declaring me as a business and telling me to keep my group buy solicitations in a sponsored forum, which I could have for only $129/year. Nobody who has ever seen how far into the red these creatures put me could ever accuse me of operating a business, let alone one that could afford paid marketing  . Just tryin' to help, sheeeesh....lol. Point being, we won't be riding you about that stuff here. You have good judgement and I'm confident that you'll use it. Thanks for considering the policies though, much appreciated.
