Is this combo possible?

I would love to have some shrimp again, good algae eating ones in particular but it would seem that I don't have a single tank without a loach of some sort in it :(. I was thinking of adding some shrimp to my 30 gal once I re-do it but it is also the home of my Angelicus pair and while they don't seem to be terribly attracted to snails, I am wondering if shrimp would be a totally different story?

Thoughts? Experiences?

I think that your loaches would have a very tasty and expensive snack!

For what it's worth, I have three Clown Loaches with a 3 inch fan shrimp and they get along fine......

I think what works in the favour of the creatures with Loaches is that the Loach has a small mouth and they're not very fast/sneaky (they're too bulky to sneak). If they can eat it, they will, but they'd rather not work and the way you feed your creatures, they know they don't have to...lol.

I would go with the larger Shrimp though - Cherries and the like would probably have a good chance of being doomed and I suspect that's what Mr. GP is thinking of. Babies would probably be toast in any tank that has fish if they can get them.

That's my bestest guess anyway - my Son's Shrimp are in with snails only so it is indeed a guess based on very little  .
