I thought I'd try a miniature water lily this year and perhaps some floating plants and some oxygenators, some Cyperus too perhaps or throw in a Canna or... :spinny:

Then I thought why not put a few white clouds in there too or get a Paradise fish in there or....

Why did I buy such a small tub? :twitcy:

We each use a tub that is a size we can afford and that we can care for Ron Bruce. That is why I have a stock tank instead of a pond dug into the ground and I would guess it is the real reason you have a bit smaller tub than mine. I went all out and bought a fountain kit on E-bay that has a sponge filter on the inlet side but I have seen plenty of posts by people that use the plant growth to take care of ammonia build ups in their tubs or ponds. In my case, I did not intend to grow any pond plants but needed to take care of the fish's needs. You are coming at this from the angle of adding fish to a planted pond so your priorities will be a bit different.

You simply need another one, that's all. I see a fish tank in everything - nothing that holds water is sacred in this house. :NoWay:

Quite a few wineries around here with half barrels for sale... *wink wink nudge nudge*
