Guess I should get coffee then, before heading into work.

As one may have been able to discern from my previous spelling of Horton, it is not where I normally buy the odd cup of coffee shop coffee,
but will pickup a round for the gang at work today.
Helping to send a kid to camp may not sound like the most pressing issue at hand, but having spent four summers as a counsellor, I can attest to the fact that often times, it is a place where things like water safety, swimming, fishing, appreciation for nature (just to name a few) are first experienced.
Even moreover, life-time friendships can be formed, and even social skills can be improved upon.
The fact this helps those who wouldn't otherwise have a chance to do so, makes it A-OK in my books.

One of our radio stations has been promoting it all day. There is also a BBQ to raise money.

Just an early reminder that Tim Hortons Camp Day is Wednesday, JUNE 2nd this year.
With all coffee proceeds (and donations) going to this worthy cause, I'll be picking up a couple trays for the crew at work.
As one can see from this pic of our new departmental coffee pot.-

It's taste is somewhat flat, :twitcy: and I'm sure fresh Tim's will be appreciated.
As will your purchases.

OK... it's Timmy's for coffee next Wednesday (the 2nd)... I'll put it on my calendar. Care to meet me at one here in Vancouver, Layton? (it's only just a little over 1,000 kms  )

 Looking at tonight's forecast (a snow/rain mix), that sounds like a HECK of an idea.
-Wouldn't be the most impractical thing I've ever done either. :twitcy:

Put the money towards some coffee and support Tim Horton's Camp Day on Wed. (It's cool and rainy here, too. )

this is the one occasion every year I can drink a cup or two of Timmies without grimacing. Followed immediately with a French roast rinse:-)
It really doesn't take much to change a persons life. I've read a number of reports over the years that have all said the same thing - children who find a (healthy) area of interest + connect with 1 nurturing adult, just 1, and they can come through the worst poverty, neglect and even outright abuse intact, as well adjusted, functioning people. Outdoor craft certainly qualifies.
