This is a leveling leg that you will find under most household appliances. The best place to find these is (not kidding) behind a furniture store.
Refrigerators will have them as will laundry machines. You want the ones off of the old stoves.
But, what is the difference ? I tells ya.
Anything connected to water will eventually be scaled up and rusty. Under a stove gets slicker with each passing year. The scaled ones will be a bear with build up on the threads. From a stove the thread is actually very well protected and lubed! You are good to go.

Drill holes into the stand @ the desired locations. Remember, this where you desire! If coming back a couple of inches puts you on a joist --do it.

I have a threshold strip of brass ( also a dumpster score) photographed here; to further divide the weight.

This is a simple project with results you can enjoy for years to come.
Just be sure to complete the task prior to filling aquarium::D:

That sure beats my usual approach of trimming the bottom of a wooden stand to fit the actual unlevel floor and thereby level a stand.

Looks like a good idea. I usually use door frame shims.

The biggest danger in leveling is undo stress. Most furniture will rely on gravity for strength. If the case is canted or twisted you start to apply force to the fasteners holding the piece together. This is unsustainable @ best.
I should think this could be done into a wooden leg providing there is a round washer between the the nut and the wood acting as a race. It would be sketchy into plywood less than one inch thick . I would not attempt it with MDF, GLIT or particleboard.

As furniture tends to migrate around my home, the levelers are handy in that they will instantly work no matter how uneven the floor.

This house will be a century old in three years!

this is a great idea specially for older homes, I don't think I have a level spot in the basement.
