Not the reptile, but rather those ugly rubber shoes.

I've worn them for their comfort the past 3 summers, and will continue to do so, BUT for anyone who does wear them (or other brands) take care when wearing them on wet surfaces such as tile and even concrete. I've known they can be like stepping onto an ice rink with skate guards on in these situations, and was about to grab the hand rail when walking down a set of freshly mopped stairs tonight. Unfortunately my toes decided to hit the metal railing before I grabbed hold, and now sport a nice puffy, purple toe. Could have been much worse however, and thought I'd post as a caution for anyone thinking of wearing these, and a reminder for those who might have gone through something similar.

Glad to hear your fall wasn't worse but hope the toe isn't broken. :wideeyed: You may think you only need your hands for waterchanges but you do need to be able to walk to carry buckets of water.

Thanks Jay, my biggest worry at this point is keeping Brandy from stomping on my foot.

I should know better than to worry about a smart girl, but normally Brandy walks about the house as if tethered to my knee, and simply must either enter a room or exit the house before I do, and that often means my feet become more of a launching pad.:twitcy:
With me on the limp she's been (thankfully) hanging back a couple of paces.

On the topic of crocs, here is a bizarre scene of ugly meets unfunctional.-

That pond ornament never did float properly, and the connecting chains have rusted, as well as it's body paint chipping off. Neat idea though.

Cover your eyes Melody, this is gonna get spooky.
A couple of more residents from my museum visit.-

Reading another thread about pond swimming reminded me of my first swim in a dugout.
I was freaked out at the size of the frogs in there.
There is no scale for size comparison here, but this bullfrog was about the size of a human head.-

Kinda looks like the grinch IMO.

I think he simply looks like he's really :POed: that you had the nerve to enter his pond.
